A Love letter to Chai
After living away from home for several years, I began to notice how certain objects quietly held my emotional world together.
One of them was chai.
In the West, chai is often reduced to a menu item, something ordered quickly, consumed on the go. But where I come from, chai is ritual. It structures conversation. It holds silence. It accompanies grief, celebration, ambition, and rest.
I began to wonder:
What if chai isn’t a drink at all, but a witness?
This film is an attempt to personify chai, not literally, but emotionally.
I wanted to treat it as a companion. Something that exists in the midst of my most vulnerable moments. A quiet presence that absorbs my anxieties and softens my solitude.
