Mehroon

Defining a Visual Language for Modern South Asian Menswear

Mehroon, is an up and coming Bespoke Men's clothing brand based in the historical city of Amritsar, India. Mehroon's digital presence relied primarily on functional, low-budget product photography that showcased garments but did little to communicate the brand's personality or differentiate it within India's growing independent fashion scene.

Ask: Develop an editorial visual direction that elevates Mehroon's digital presence, establishes a distinctive brand identity, and drives awareness beyond individual products.

Insight: As Gen Z increasingly engages with brands through personality-driven visual storytelling, editorial imagery has become a key tool for building recognition and cultural relevance.

Idea:  We rooted the campaign in the everyday culture of Amritsar, using documentary-inspired photography to capture the garments within the city's streets, people, and rituals. The result was imagery that communicated not only what Mehroon makes, but where it comes from.

Role: Visual Strategist/Photo Editor

I defined the visual strategy by identifying the cultural and consumer insights that would guide the campaign. I then led creative workshops with the photographer to translate those insights into a documentary-inspired visual language, ensuring the final imagery consistently reflected Mehroon's identity and strategic objectives.

The campaign imagery remains among Mehroon's highest-performing Instagram posts by likes, demonstrating the lasting engagement of the editorial visual direction.
